- Get back on track to lose weight -which will be easier once the season of gluttony is over.
- Say it with me- No More Strokes, seizures or other dramatic medical emergencies.
- Get our financial situation figured out as it worries me.
- Stop isolating myself which is bad for me and my already damaged self-esteem. It is just so easy for me to do for me and it is not healthy.
- Continuing my rehabilitation so I can get back to feeling capable, and eventually get back to work.
- Being the best Mom I can be to my Emmy as she deserves the best.

Happy New Years!!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, full of family loved ones and friends. We had a nice Christmas- Emmy actually slept until 8:30and then I heard her talking to her stuffed animals, wondering if "Santa had come yet". After that it was a free for all until the last gift was opened. After brunch, we went to Keith's brothers house to have Christmas dinner, which was amazing.I was originally quite hesitant about going as I am still quite klutzy while eating, but in the end, it didn't matter and it was good to be around family. So now it is New Year's eve and it is the time for my annual resolutions...

Emerson's First Christmas Concert
Emmy is on the far right, rocking back and forth like she has to pee, and then she gallops across the stage as she was "Rudolph". I was cryingas the first act took the stage and she was last LOL

Our Christmas
We had a lovely Christmas overall. Christmas morning was the three of us, opening presents. Keith bought me a new computer chair and a convection/toaster oven. Keith received LOST season 5 on Blu ray and other smaller items he asked for. In the afternoon, we went to Keith's brother's house for dinner. It was filled with family, which Christmas should always be.
Video attached is a different video than the one on the post below - just starts out the same way.

Merry Christmas from our house to yours...
I started this week on a low note as I received a call Monday morning from my Dad that my Grandma passed away late Sunday night. That weighed heavily on my mind since as I couldn't make the trip south to pay my respects to the woman I dearly loved. Between work, Christmas and bad weather all across the province, there is just not much I could do to get down there. But I did send flowers, and a letter sending my love.
I was worried that this would impact Christmas, but thankfully, watching Emmy in her glory opening gifts made my sadness disappear. This was the first year she really 'got' Christmas. She was so excited opening gifts this morning...it made my week.
This morning we spent as a family, then we went to Keith's brother's for Christmas dinner. It was a great day. We all got spoiled rotten gift-wise.

Like Mother, like daughter...
Emmy's favorite Christmas cartoon so far?
This is the only one that seems to hold her attention, and she will sit in front of the TV, absolutely engrossed by this show.
It also happens to be my favorite - and I have been known to sing the songs as it plays. Okay, okay - sometimes when it's July and not even on my mind.
Being the fact I love it so much - maybe I 'forced' her to like it. I don't think I did as she has been watching different Christmas cartoons nightly, and none hold her interest like this one does. She actually asks for it now.
Ahhh...such sacrifice.

Merry Christmas, my friends
I wish each and every one of you the happiest of Christmases, and hopes for a joyous new year. Yes, even you, person who left the 'not so understanding comment' on my blog a few weeks back. For you, I wish you peace and love in your heart.
Take joy in those you love, and whom love you back this holiday season. I know I will be.
